Instead of saying anything meaningful about this wedding, I could simply tell you that Adam + Melanie substituted ballerinas for flower girls. That they had four wedding cakes and literally the most beautiful reception I have ever seen.
It was an incredible wedding, and really--a plethora of words isn't even necessary.
But these people mean something to me.
So...
...let me tell you about my friend, Melanie.
Melanie is one of Denver's very best wedding planners. She reached out to me several years ago and asked if we could work together, and it's been a solid working relationship (and friendship!) ever since.
She has a smile that will brighten up a room, and a deep, contagious laugh.
Everyone is her friend. She loves big, and has a total heart of gold.
Oh, and she's funny. (This could be my favorite part about her.)
Now let me tell you about her new husband, Adam.
I don't know much about Adam, but I sure learned a lot while photographing their wedding.
He gifted her with one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever seen.
He waved at her when he saw her walking down the aisle, and then he cried.
He insisted on a moment alone with her, after the ceremony, before the photos--no friends, no family, no photographer. Just Adam and Melanie.
He literally serenaded her with a song during their reception, in front of everyone.
His heart is so, so pure.
Together, I love Melanie and Adam.
I am so happy for my friend that she has found a man to love her, and to nurture her, and to manage all of her wonderful quirks. I admire their bond, and I don't think I stopped smiling the entire time I was editing their photos (which, to be truthful, took forever because I couldn't narrow them down, lol).
Congrats again, you two. I hope you love your images, and I am so, so thankful that I got to be there to witness every moment, and to document every event as it unfolded. I wish you a lifetime of happiness and joy!
xoxo

Their in-house catering is remarkable. The food was delicious. So many of our guests (including and especially the foodies) have told us it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. The service at Chicago wedding venues was impeccable but not overly formal.
