the B family | Breckenridge family photographer

This family was so easy. And fun.

The B family came to Breckenridge for their annual family vacation, and desperately wanted family photos on the property where they were staying. Nothing fancy--they didn't need to travel far to get photos together. They just wanted them in the front yard.

I convinced them to at least walk down the street for some mountain views, which they did--and then it proceeded to rain on us.

But they didn't mind one bit!

The rain only lasted a few minutes (seriously, 10 people standing in the middle of the road huddled under one single blanket was pretty funny), and then we were able to have fun and get some good candid shots.

There was chest bumping.
There was lots of laughter.

I absolutely loved my time with this family.

Thanks again Grace + Debbie! I hope you love your images!

sweet taylor | Breckenridge maternity photographer

Once again, life has come full circle for me.

Taylor was one of my brides a few years ago--I photographed her and Brian's wedding at Deer Creek Valley Ranch (she was a total stunner). We have since stayed in touch via Facebook, and when she reached out to let me know she was pregnant and needed maternity photos I was absolutely thrilled.

It's always such an honor when I get to photograph the most special moments for people--and on more than one occasion.

Doesn't she make pregnancy look so easy!? She's so beautiful!

Thanks again, Taylor and Brian! I wish you all the best with the rest of the pregnancy and the birth of your sweet baby!

robert + larissa | Breckenridge family photographer

This was a different kind of session than I was used to, which was great for pushing me out of my comfort zone.

LaRissa does my hair (fabulously, might I add) and she had mentioned to me that at some point she would love a shoot with her dog, Billy. Billy is older, and LaRissa wanted some images of them doing what they love to do--walk around, play, and just generally having fun together.

So that's what we did. :)

Thanks again, Robert + LaRissa! I hope you love these!

ryan + bibiana | magic hour foundation photographer

If you haven't heard of the Magic Hour Foundation, I highly recommend you look it up.

After my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer, I decided to donate my time to this worthy cause--a cause that brings family photos to people who have been entrenched in the battle against cancer and may not otherwise have had a chance to capture some precious memories together.

All sessions are completely free.

When I met with these two, I had a moment to speak with them about Ryan's battle and his prognosis. I asked Bibiana to send me something to share with their photos, and this is what she had to say:

"In December 2016 Ryan was having severe headaches for about 3 weeks. December 17 he had a 7 hour emergency craniotomy to remove a brain tumor. The diagnosis was a glioblastoma which is a grade 4 malignant brain tumor. He underwent 23 rounds of radiation and very aggressive chemo treatments for 18 months. He has never stopped working or doing what he loves: riding motorcycles, skiing, rafting, hiking, and mountain biking. He has an extremely positive mind set and as he told the doctors: he is a bad ass!

His scans are now clear and we continue to be thankful, positive, active, and enjoying life."

So glad I got to meet these two through their story. If you haven't checked out the foundation, you can do so here: https://magichour.org

Thanks again, Ryan + Bibiana! I wish you continued health and success against this terrible disease!

zach + christina | highlands ranch wedding photographer

This wedding has been on my calendar for about a year. It was highly anticipated, as I had worked with the bride a time or two with other weddings. So when she trusted me to shoot her own, it was a big deal to me.

The Highlands Ranch Mansion is like a dream. The grounds are beautiful. It's full of history. And it's where Zach + Christina spent their high school prom together. Now closing out their college years, I love that they chose to come back to one of the places where it all started.

Christina's dress was jaw-dropping.
Walking down the front entry way of the Mansion was a perfect touch--it felt almost Cinderella-esque.
The colors in the rooms were wonderfully soft (except for that yellow bathroom, lol).
And--as always--the flowers from The Olive and the Poppy were on. point.

I had so much fun with this one.

Thank you again, Zach + Christina, for asking me to be there on your special day. It was an honor.

xoxo
