edgar + carla | breckenridge maternity photographer

I am so in love with these photos.

I was worried that it wouldn't go well. It was freeeeezing cold--like, so, so cold. And the wind was howling. I should have canceled this session, but I knew they would be leaving town and I really wanted to give it a shot!

I am so glad we did.

Carla braved the cold like a CHAMP, and we were able to get the session done in like, 20 minutes.

And ohhhhh how I love them. The light. The people. The colors. It's all just so, so beautiful.

Thank you again, Edgar and Carla! It was so wonderful to meet you! Good luck with everything in the coming months!

xoxo

When Ashley contacted me for photos, she was wondering if I had any ideas regarding her first anniversary--she wanted to somehow commemorate it with the session. I'll admit, our collective ideas weren't the most creative in the world--but I think they turned out super cute!

They shared some wine, and their cake on a blanket in the mountains. Then we did photos, and they ended with some glitter in their wedding colors. The photos make me laugh, more than anything--it was a lot of fun!

Thanks, Tyler + Ashley, for being such good sports! You braved the chilly weather, ate your freezer burned cake for my camera, and no doubt went home with a pound of glitter in your hair. Lol. I hope it was worth it--I love these photos!

Sometimes, there are people who contact you because they are in need of a wedding photographer, and they like your style. They're happy to see you on the wedding day, and they give a kind, "Thank you, I love them!" when you deliver their gallery of photos. For the most part, they are fairly detached from all the planning that goes into weddings, and it can sometimes be hard to gauge their expectations.

And then there are brides like Carolyn.

Brides that literally contact you the moment they get engaged because they just KNOW you are the one they want.

They call upon you for all the major events--the engagement party, the engagement photos, the bridal shower, and--of course--the big day. They friend you on Facebook. They foster a personal relationship.

They trust your vision and allow you to get creative.

Carolyn has been one of my favorite brides to work with, to-date. William wasn't so bad either. ;)

This gallery was a tough one for me because it's my busy season, and I am up against a lot of deadlines, but I just couldn't stop--their gallery just kept growing and growing, because I loved so many of their images.

And let me tell you--this wedding was WORTH all of the extra time spent on images!! The venue was amazing. The flowers were to die for. And all of the little details were perfectly executed--especially the sliders, french fries, and milk shakes delivered about 30 minutes before the evening was set to end. ;)

Thanks again, William + Carolyn. I hope you LOVE all of your 1,044 images. Lol. Here's a little sneak peak of your amazing day. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of it.

xoxo
