one and one makes three | yucaipa, ca

I met this mama for the first time last year--we were bridesmaids in a wedding together, so we got to spend some time getting to know one another through party planning, dinners, and of course the big event. She is incredibly sweet, and I so enjoyed this time we got to spend together.

Jeremy + Lauren--good luck with the birth of the baby, and enjoy all of the wonderful moments that will follow. Thank you for asking me to document such an important time. :)

I photographed Jake and Liz when they were first engaged last year--in case you missed those photos, you can find them here.

It's so cool to stick with a couple over that time. To be involved in some of the planning. To understand a little more of the story.

From what I've gathered, this couple loves to travel--and has great ambitions to travel more together in their future. They have a loving family--Liz's mother actually folded the 1,000 paper cranes you can see hanging as the backdrop to their wedding ceremony. Jake's sisters made every single cupcake, cake, and cookie that you will see in these photos. And you know they're well-liked and fun to be around because they had to actually cut the mic off so that not too many people would stand and give a toast--it's obvious that others gravitate to them naturally.

And I love that all of these things about them, I learned through the things I saw--the decorations on the tables. The details that were lying around, everywhere.

Jake and Liz, congrats again on your special day. Thank you so much for trusting in me, and for asking me to be a part of it. Kudos to you both on such a well-done day--and for the record, you win for "best first dance." EVER.
