When I first started my law school journey in 2008, Danielle sat a few seats down from me. We like to joke now that I was kind of quiet, and I used to bring my sack lunch to class every day--so each time she asked me if I wanted to join her for lunch, I'd kindly decline. Finally, one day, she basically said, "Throw that away. You're coming to lunch with me."
And the rest is history. Lol.
We've now been friends for about seven years, and I've been with her through a lot of ups and downs--as she has with me. She once drove two states with me, at the last minute, to do a photo shoot for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep when I was scared out of my mind. I've held her hand through troubling break-ups. She was first on the scene when my daughter was born two months premature, bags full of necessities in hand. And I can still recall where we were when she first told me that she had met Tyler, and she thought he might be a little more special than anyone she had dated in the past.
So now here we are.
A couple of years together, and one of my best friends in the entire world has found the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with. I could not be more happy for her, and I can't wait for their big celebration next July.
