the M family | D.C. family photographer

One of the very first weddings I ever photographed was for Ben + Audrey, after we all graduated from law school. I traveled all the way up to gorgeous Northern Michigan for their nuptials and it was such a great experience for me.

Fast forward all these years later, and now I get to photograph their family in D.C. when I travel out there!

I am so blessed to have clients all over this country--the things I get to see, thanks to this job, are amazing! And I just love these people for trusting me, year after year.

Thanks again, you two!

the S family | D.C. family photographer

My annual photography trip to D.C. fell right in the middle of my kids' spring break, so I left them with friends in Texas while I traveled for a couple days to the east coast.

It's kind of odd having your kids in one state, your husband in another, while you are in a third. It almost made me feel a little panicked, lol.

But these sessions out on the National Mall were just so wonderful and rewarding. I got to see some of my favorite families, and everyone was in a great mood. The light was gorgeous as the sun went down, and I am really happy with how these images turned out.

Thanks again, Rob + Emily! I hope you love these!

the B family | Houston family photographer

Our second major stop on our road trip with my kids was Houston; unfortunately, the date I had set aside for a bunch of family photos was also the day that the skies opened up and just poured rain.

All night.

Thankfully, this family decided to go for it. It was right at the start of the stormy weather so the most we saw was drizzle, but still. I was so glad they said YES!

Because really, even though it's overcast--these images turned out beautifully!

Thanks again, Julie! I hope you love them!

the J family | Colorado family photographer

About a month ago, I quit my full-time job and packed my kids up in the car for a spring break road trip through Oklahoma and Texas--with a random pit stop for me to Washington, D.C.

It. Was. So. Much. Fun.

Seriously, I have never had so much fun with my kids before, and I am so glad I made this decision.

Our first stop was in Owasso, OK, to visit with my uncle. Owasso also happens to be the home of one of my good friends from college and she wanted a photo shoot--so we met up at the most beautiful little park in the middle of a neighborhood.

Sarah, your family is so beautiful. Thank you for asking me to document the five of you! Love you!

the N family | Breckenridge family photographer

The first time I photographed this family was a couple of years ago. They were visiting Breckenridge, and wanted family photos to document their time together.

Imagine my surprise when they contacted me again, a couple years later, for their second round of images!

It's always fun to have repeat clients--especially when I get to see the little ones literally grow up in front of my lens, over time. :)

Thanks again, Louise! I hope you love them!

the E family | Breckenridge family photographer

It's always a joy to photograph Carrie and her family--Carrie is a local photographer, and was also my daughter's daycare provider when my husband and I were studying for the Bar exam.

This woman is super special to us, and I am so happy I was able to capture her family just as they are before her oldest moved out of state!

Thanks again, Carrie! I hope you love these!

mike + brooke | Breckenridge wedding photographer

Even though my "official" wedding season started about a week ago, I was thrilled to have the chance to document this small little ceremony up on Quandary in Breckenridge a couple months ago.

Mike and Brooke contacted me about their quaint little ceremony, and of course I was excited.

It was also really, really cold so the entire thing from start to finish (including photos) was about 20 minutes.

Also, Brooke wore high heels in about six feet of snow pack so I was super impressed. Lol.

Anyways, thanks again Mike and Brooke! I hope you love your images and are enjoying married life!
