the S family | Breckenridge family photographer

I am catching up on editing and blogging tonight, before delving into a pretty significant project for a national project beginning tomorrow. I want to be able to focus all of my efforts into this project, and am excited for the final outcome.

In the meantime, check out this sweet new family of three. <3

I showed up at their home last weekend, in the midst of spring thunderstorms, to capture their new family on a cool, dreary day.

The opportunity to capture families in the early stages of bringing home a new baby is always such a joy. I always edit these sessions and imagine that someday down the road, they will be shared at the wedding reception, or as mom and dad wish social media happy birthdays over the years--reflecting on growth, and longing for the days when their first-born was small enough to fit in their hands.

What is it they say?

The years are short, and the days are long.

Oh, how true it is.

Soak it up, mom and dad. One day you are going to blink, and wonder what happened. <3

This was my second session with this family, and this time I was honored to photograph them in celebration of mom and dad's anniversary.

It was a gorgeous spring day, and--as you can see--the thunderstorms were rolling in. I love spring in Colorado!

Thank you so much, Sam! I had such a great time with your family!

Jaimi is a good friend of mine, and she so very kindly agreed to model with her kiddos for my Mother's Day Mini Sessions advertisements.

I loved this session.

I had previously stumbled upon this field (which won't be there forever, because they're currently building homes all over it), but I loved the mountains in the background.

My family and I are moving closer to the city--and closer to Jaimi's family!--so I've been on the hunt for new locations. This one became a fast favorite!

Thanks again, Jaimi. I just love your kiddos, and YOU!

It's hard to believe the last time I saw Heather, we were waiting tables together at Chili's. I remember how much fun we had--she was so funny!

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, and she was visiting Breckenridge with her beautiful family and asked me to take photos. It was so fun to meet up with her and meet all of them!

Thanks again, Heather! I hope you love these images. So great to see you!

Lucy | Evergreen, CO in-home lifestyle newborn photographer

 Oh, little Lucy.

I first met this family a few years back, for their maternity photos with baby number one.

I then met them at the hospital for a Fresh 48 session, again for 6-month photos, then one year, 18-months, then maternity for baby number two, and alas...

...newborn photos in-home for Lucy.

The sessions looked very different with the addition of COVID, but I was thankful for such a gorgeous day to meet up, take photos, and also see the most smiley big sister of all time.

Thanks again, Katie and David!

Congrats on the new addition - she is beautiful!

And of course, a side-by-side comparison shot of daddy with each of his girls.
